Check your channel banner

Choose a banner image to see its size and a centred guide for text and logos. Your image stays in this browser.

Text and logo area

Try a 2560 × 1440 image. The safe guide is based on YouTube's published minimum-banner guidance.

YouTube banner size guide

YouTube recommends a 2560 × 1440 pixel channel banner. It accepts banners as small as 2048 × 1152 pixels, and says that text and logos should stay inside a 1235 × 338 pixel safe area at the minimum size.

This tool scales that central area to your image. It checks size and file size locally; it does not upload, store, or send your image anywhere.

YouTube channel banner safe area FAQ

Why is there a safe area?

YouTube may crop a banner differently on different screens. A centred area helps keep your channel name and logo away from the edges.

Does the guide guarantee my banner will look identical everywhere?

No. It is a planning guide based on YouTube's published dimensions. Check the preview in YouTube Studio before you save your banner.

What can I use the downloaded overlay for?

Place it over your 2560 × 1440 design in your image editor, then keep important words and logos inside the marked box.
